The Brooklyn Bridge.

In 1883 it was the longest suspension bridge in the world. It connected the City of Brooklyn with New York City. (Brooklyn didn't become a borough of New York until 13 years later). It is a marvel of architecture and engineering even to this day and an unmistakable fixture of the New York skyline.

These letterpress cards feature an intricate line drawing of the famous Brooklyn Bridge letterpress blind debossed (printed with a deep impression but no ink) at the top of the card. The rest of the card is blank leaving plenty of space for your notes to friends and loved ones. They are printed on Crane?s Lettra ?Pearl White? paper, using a foot-powered 1889 press.

Each card measures 5.5 inches x 4.25 inches and comes with a matching envelope, in a set of 10. Cards are flat cards; if you would like this design in a folded card, please feel free to get in touch for a custom order.

If you would like this card set personalized with your name, please convo me and I'd be happy to do a custom order.

These folding cards are inspired by the inter-titles (dialogue cards) of the great silent films of early cinema and, of course, our newest favorite silent film, The Artist. The text and decorative border are letterpress printed on Crane?s 100% cotton Lettra paper in ecru, using a foot-powered 1889 press. Each card measures 4.25 inches x 5.5 inches when folded and comes with a matching envelope in a set of 3.

This set of cards is designed for simply keeping in touch with a friendly note. Sure, you could check in on Facebook, but why not slow things down a bit and send a hand-written note?

The cards read:
"Darling, please..."
"Ahoy!"
"Howdy!"

"Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do,
I'm half crazy all for the love of you.
It won't be a stylish marriage -
I can't afford a carriage,
But you'd look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two."

Send your answers, professions of love, proposals of marriage, or anything at all on these vintage-inspired notecards. Adorned with the image of a "bicycle built for two" and a simple border, these cards are letterpress printed with black ink and come in a set of 10 with matching envelopes. The cards measure 4.25" x 5.5" (A2).

If you would like to have your message printed on a set of these cards, please convo me to discuss custom options.

Paper: All cards are printed on 110-pound Crane's Lettra paper, a thick, 100% cotton paper designed specifically for letterpress printing.
