This primitive pumpkin doll is made from cotton fabric. She is 20" tall from the tip of her real stick stem to her toes!

She is stuffed with fiberfill and I've painted her body dark orange then antiqued it with my coffee & vanilla blend. Her eyes are antique shoe buttons, her nose is a rusty square nail and she has a stitched mouth.

Her dress has a black homespun bodice and black Civil War reproduction calico skirt. Beneath her dress, she's wearing muslin bloomers. Her clothes have been grunged with coffee, but that's not so visible on the dark fabrics. I've printed an image of an antique pumpkin seed packet and hand stitched it to the bodice of her dress.

This primitive doll is intended to be a decorative collectible for your home.

Created in my smoke-free and pet-free home studio in Northern California.

Sorry, but this item is not available for international shipping due to the twig stem.

? Vintage enamelware dish
? 1950s manufacture date is estimated
? Just under 8" wide (edge to edge) across the top (actually about 7-7/8")
? Inside bottom is 5" wide
? Great for your farmhouse kitchen decor
? From my smoke-free & pet-free home!

This vintage plate has a pretty robin's egg blue bottom and white interior. It was probably manufactured in the 1950s, possibly 1960s, but I doubt it's any newer than that. It has been in my collection for more than 15 years.

Add this pretty blue plate to your farmhouse kitchen decor or use it when camping. Over the years, I have sometimes used it as a candleholder for a large pillar candle (it looks very nice with rosehips or potpourri surrounding the candle).

SHIPPING: Shipping weight will be 1 pound; plate will be shipped wrapped in multiple layers of bubblewrap. If you'd prefer to have this item shipped in a box, please let me know and I'll adjust the postage (a box would make the shipping weight 2 pounds). Postage may be less than shown to destinations west of the Mississippi River. Provide your zip code or country for more accurate postage, if desired. Overpaid postage will be refunded!

? Vintage (or maybe antique) graniteware pie pan
? 1940s manufacture date is estimated; could be even older (and I seriously doubt it's any newer)
? 10" wide (edge to edge) across the top
? Bottom is 8" wide
? Great for your farmhouse kitchen decor
? From my smoke-free & pet-free home!

This vintage graniteware pie plate is grey mottled metal. It was probably manufactured no later than the 1940s, and could be much older. It has been in my collection for more than 20 years.

SHIPPING: Shipping weight will be 2 pounds. Postage may be less to destinations west of the Mississippi River. Provide your zip code or country for more accurate postage, if desired. Overpaid postage will be refunded!

This primitive pumpkin doll is made from cotton fabric and would be 23" tall in a standing position; when seated, as in the pictures, he's 16" tall.

His body is cotton fabric which I've painted black and antiqued; this is quite a process in itself! He's stuffed with "rag stuffing" (leftover fabric scraps) in his torso and fiberfill in his head, arms, and legs. The rag stuffing gives him a solid, heavy, perhaps even "antique" feel since his body is NOT squishy!

His eyes are antique buttons atop bits of new wool fabric; he has an antique square nail for a nose and a small twig for a mouth.

Dressing the dolls is one of my favorite parts of doll making! This fella wears black & ecru striped denim pants, held up with a jute belt (and a few hidden stitches) and a black & ecru homespun shirt held closed with rusty safety pins. He also sports a grubby gauze scarf to ward off the autumn breeze. His clothes, as well as his body, have been grunged with coffee, but that's not so visible on the dark fabrics.

This primitive doll was created by me in my smoke-free and pet-free home studio in Northern California, and is intended to be a decorative collectible for your home. He is signed & dated on the back of his head.

NOTE: Shipping for this fella is set for the East Coast, however it may be less if his new home is West of the Mississippi River. Overpaid shipping exceeding $2 will be refunded. This listing is for the doll only; the other items shown in the photos are not included. I made 6 of these dolls, as shown in the last photo; this is likely all of this style of doll for this year but you may inquire as to the availability of the other dolls in the picture (they will get listed as time permits!).

I've just finished this fun rustic sunflower garland. Literally, JUST finished it within the last hour!

Perfect for your farmhouse or city abode! Made from cotton fabrics (muslin & osnaburg) and painted & dyed by hand. The 3 sunflowers each measure about 5" wide and are attached to a 46" piece of black vintage grosgrain ribbon.

This primitive sunflower swag was created in my smoke-free and pet-free Northern California studio, and will arrive signed and dated.

This primitive sampler looks soooo old! I've stitched "Earth laughs in flowers" on rustic cotton fabric (osnaburg). The colors I used are burgundy, dark green, and mustard gold. The simple naive style, along with the staining, makes this sampler look as if it were made by a young girl more than 150 years ago!

All of my primitive stitching is done freehand. I don't use a pattern and am literally writing on fabric with thread, which insures that each of my primitive samplers will be 100% one-of-a-kind!

This primitive sampler measures 7" tall and 4" wide. It is being offered as shown, unframed. You can tack it to the wall just the way it is (tiny black upholstery tacks look really nice with my primitive samplers!) or sew it into a small pillow, wall hanging, or other project!

Christmas in July SALE Price: $14.40
Regular Price: $18

I've stitched this primitive sampler on muslin with the colors of olive green and dark red. It measures 7-1/2" wide and 9-1/2" high. It's grunged with coffee & vanilla to give it that "older than dirt" look we all love!

i will honor
Christmas
in My heart
and try to
keep it
all the Year

I do my stitching freehand and without a hoop. I try to make my samplers look as though they were stitched 150 years ago, perhaps by a young girl just learning how to embroider.

I offer this primitive sampler to you as it's shown, unframed. You can tack it on the wall (it looks very nice with little black upholstery tacks!), or you can frame it or sew it up into a pillow or other project.

Made by me in my smoke-free and pet-free home studio in Sacramento, California.

I've stitched this primitive sampler on osnaburg in the colors of olive, spicy (dark) mustard and dark red. It measures 8-1/2" wide and 7" high. I've grunged it with coffee & vanilla to give it that "older than dirt" look we all love!

Love and joy
come to you
and glad Christmas
tidings too

I do my stitching freehand and without a hoop. I try to think like a young girl learning how to stitch about 150 years ago and do my stitching in the way she might have done it.

"Christmas is a time of the heart"

This primitive sampler measures 7-1/2" wide and 5" high, including the raw edges. It is being offered as shown, unframed. You can tack it to the wall just the way it is (small black upholstery tacks work well!) or sew it into a small pillow, wall hanging, or other project! Thread colors include muted dark green, light olive, and dark red. DMC cotton embroidery threads were used in this sampler.

All of my primitive stitching is done freehand. I don't use a pattern and am literally writing on fabric with thread, which insures that each of my primitive samplers will be 100% one-of-a-kind!

CUSTOM ORDERS WELCOME! If you have a favorite saying, Christmas or otherwise, which you'd like me to stitch for you, let's talk!
