After the first firing I used a bright apple green and white glaze to get the design shown. It was then refired.

Grouchy Pots!
These spiky pots have a WHOLE lot of attitude! They're all made one at a time, given sculpted legs and all dressed up in sharp spikes. They're each given a little slouch (for maximum attitude) and then they're fired in a kiln. After the first firing I try to choose the coolest colors I can find or mix up and they're glazed and refired. Some of my best moments as a potter, are opening the kiln and seeing these little guys all shiny and new!

I threw this Grouchy Pot on my potters wheel. I added 3 sculpted feet to the bottom and spikes to the outside of the pot. I also added a hole for drainage. It was then fired
After the first firing I used SEVERAL glazes to get the color shown. It was then refired.
